Tips For Self-Care: Lockdown Edition

Whether you’re in self-isolation, quarantine or, working. Here are some tips to help you through this pandemic.

Don’t let your skin suffer!

Wash your hands with soap for at least 20-30 seconds. This helps to remove germs from your hands. Use hand sanitisers (at least 60% alcohol content) if you cannot use soap.

Constant washing can cause your skin to become dry. Don’t forget to use a moisturiser after washing your hands. 

Keep up your face masks, nail routine, etc. So you can emerge from this lockdown like the true baddie that you are *snaps fingers*

Eat a Well balanced diet

When so many people are frantically stockpiling, it can be hard for everyone to find the food that they need.

At times like this it can be hard, to find the ingredients to make healthy snacks and meals. It’s even more important now than ever, to make sure that you are eating a healthy balanced diet. If you are struggling to find things such as fruits and veg, check out your local corner shops. In 2020, almost every corner shops will sell fresh fruit and veg.

Don’t forget to add vitamin D supplements to your shopping list. By itself, or, in multivitamins. This is especially important for those of us living in places like the UK.

Avoid Stress

Avoid watching the news. Not everyone will agree on this tip. However, it has really helped me keep it together. Think about it, the news is mostly repeating the same information throughout the whole day. This can be really stressful as we are all already worried about COVID-19. Personally, I have made a point of not watching the news and quickly catching up on the news every few days. 

Now is the time to use the special candle or open the bath soak that you’ve been saving for the right time. Do whatever you can to relax and unwind. 

Lastly, don’t forget to get your beauty sleep. It’s called beauty sleep for a reason sis.
